Ed McGurk
A well known figure on the Lancashire Folk circuit but relatively unknown in the North East, Ed McGurk entertained the tynefolk audience with a varied and interesting collection of songs.
Ed, formerly with Nevis, is a member of Bandersnatch and also duets regularly with Nick Caffrey on the North West folk scene.
With his resonant voice and accomplished guitar accompaniment Ed's repertoire included Dylan's Girl from the North Country, Davy Steele's Last Trip Home and The Summer Before the War by Huw Williams. On top of traditional favourites like Lord Franklin and The Queen of all Argyle.
