Prior to delivering their guest spot, this highly rated pair and winners of the Radio 2 Folk Award for best Duo in both 2003 and 2011, James and Nancy submitted themselves to the rigours of 'The Interview'!
Conducted by long standing friend Anni Fentiman they gave us an insight into how they started their respective careers, how they came together and how they now manage their lives on the folk circuit whilst bringing up two young boys.
Their musical influences were forged on opposite sides of the world and this was reflected in their choice of material when they took the stage. The unique mix of Northumbrian and Australian material working brilliantly.
Stunning instrumentalists, with equally impressive voices, the performance included many of Nancy's own songs which, though modern, reflect her traditional roots.
Great songs and music. Two lovely people and a very appreciative audience.
