Music Hall Night at tynefolk, 2013

With Salty tales of the Sea, a lesson in how to play the spoons, poems by Rudyard Kipling and monologues and songs, the Music Hall proved to be a great success.

Music Hall Night

Johnny Handle, Mary and Peter Hollins, Dave Webber and the inimitable Bert Draycott, entertained the tynefolk audience with a rich variety of songs, stories and slapstick humour.

MC for the evening, Bert Draycott, proved what a great song and dance man he is. Gluing the show together he kept the entertainment moving at breakneck speed.

Johnny Handle gave us a rendition of the Billy Bell poem, The Bellingham Show along with songs and tunes.

Captain Codpiece (aka Peter Hollins) and his faithful young Cabin Boy (aka Mary Hollins) brought their seaside booth entertainment with some of the corniest one liners imaginable.

And Dave Webber sang musical hall songs from the London Music Hall as well as regaling those present with Rudyard Kipling's Road to Mandalay.

Good clean (well most of the time) fun!
