Tom McConville, the Geordie Fiddler arrived at tynefolk and regaled us with a great selection of tunes and songs in the traditional style.
On his own, without the band, former BBC Musician of the Year Tom, dug deep into a vast repertoire of material and delivered an evening of outstanding entertainment.
Dipping back to his Scotswood roots, Tom's music was interspersed with stories from childhood in Newcastle's west end, being amply encouraged by his brother and nephew.
A great night.
